Frank E. Page’s Guide to Granite Countertops
The use of granite throughout a home is becoming quite common; in the southern states it is considered a standard in new construction. Granite offers depth of color and various movements and veining that make every slab completely unique and easy to pair with any cabinet.
The life of granite far outweighs the cost of granite. Being that it is wear resistant, this counter top will look the same 10 to 15 years after installation as the day it was installed, adding both value and beauty to your most expensive investment, your home.
Choosing A Granite:
Granite is usually rated in levels A-E. The levels have nothing to do with the quality of the granite. Granite is granite. The levels are reflective of the rarity of that slab. Levels A-D are standard , level E is exotic patterned slabs found less often, so they are" market price" at time of purchase. As one of our customers stated last week while we were visiting the slab warehouse," it doesn't matter if you choose a more common pattern for less, the look is still the same...beautiful!"
Caring For Your Granite:
Simple yearly sealing of granite is all the long term maintenance that is required. The entire process takes about 30 minutes, that's including the drying time.
Daily cleaning with a specially formulated stone soap that is PH balanced helps to clean the granite, protect the sealer and adds luster. It is that easy!
